Better Boating (Minnesota)
Minnesota is home to millions of feet of shoreline along more than 15,000 lakes! Warm, sunny weather in the forecast means that recreational boaters will be hitting the water, and this is a great time to think about how you can help keep our waters healthy and clean.
Viewer Tip: If you are thinking of purchasing a boat, consider a 4-cycle engine, which is more efficient and less polluting than a 2-cycle engine. Or, consider motorless water sports, such as kayaking or canoeing. When you leave the water, make sure you’re not taking any plants or animals with you – check your boat, trailer, and anchor.
