Abnormally dry and drought conditions persist across almost all ofSouth Carolina-99 percent of the state is classified as at least abnormally dry, and92 percent of the state is classifiedat themoderate drought level or worse. While heavy rains in the Southeast did help to relieve dry conditionsin eastern South Carolina,groundwater, reservoir, andriver levels are still low across the state, and some areas continue to experience severe drought.

- Only run the dishwasher and washing machine when they are full – save about 1000 gallons per month.
- Fix a leaky faucet – save about 140 gallons per week.
- Keep your shower under five minutes – save up to 1000 gallons per month.
