Just Lettuce Plant!
While most crops are planted in the spring, some important produce waits until fall to go into the ground. Due to the sensitivity of the plant, lettuce grows best in the moist, cool fall. And since it only takes 30 days to mature, there is enough time to produce the plant before the weather becomes too cold.
Viewer Tip: Plant lettuce starting in September, sowing every two to three days. Lettuce is mature and ready to harvest in approximately 30 days. Lettuce needs moist conditions and moderate sunlight. Lettuce grows best in sandy-loam soils with low acidity.
