Earth Gauge

Earth Gauge provides environmental and climate knowledge to broadcast meteorologists in order to increase the public’s knowledge to make environmentally informed decisions.

This innovative partnership between the National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF) and the American Meteorological Society (AMS) provides science-based quick facts, in-depth fact sheets, videos and online courses that make the links between climate, weather and environment.

• Climate: Learn about observed changes in weather and climate patterns – and their impacts – in the U.S. and abroad.
• Environment: Information about the links between weather and the environment, with tips for addressing weather-related environmental impacts in your community.
• Meteorologists: Meet the Earth Gauge network of broadcast meteorologists and learn more about AMS and the Station Scientist Initiative.
• Kids: Weather-environment quizzes, activities and fun facts for grades 5-8. Topics change monthly.
